Leverage a Tech Career to Support Your Art

Hosted By

Details
Stages are dark, movie sets are sparse, designer shops are quiet, and the entertainment industry continues to wait patiently to get back to work. With other industries hit just as hard by COVID-19, many of us are looking for new survival jobs/secondary careers that will still provide us flexibility for future gigs.
Enter stage left: Web Development & Design!
Join us at LEARN Academy for an informative conversation on how to make this transition and how your skills from the entertainment industry can make you a successful developer! You will have the opportunity to hear from several artists on how they made the transition and how their tech career has made them better artists.
We will cover:
- What skills are most transferable to a tech career and how to leverage those to learn how to code.
- Flexible job opportunities in the tech industry that will still allow you to pursue your passion in the arts.
- The benefits a career in tech can have on your artistic career.
- Skills necessary to become a web developer and how to learn those new skills.
- Coding is an art, allowing you to create, share, and tap into a new creative and collaborative outlet.
