Rock Pool & Century Lake Trail (Optional added trail to M.A.S.H site!)

Rock Pool and Century Lake Trails is a 4.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Calabasas, California that features a lake and is rated as moderate (However reviews have reported it as easy- there is the option to continue to the M.A.S.H site and add a few miles for those seeking a more rigorous workout!)

The trail is not dog friendly, sorry Pooches!

Lovely walk down oak shaded lane, a stunning rock pool with vertical walls of volcanic rock, and a picturesque lake pretty enough for a calendar. An easy hike with lots of variety. At the Rock Pool, watch rock climbers attempt to scale the Planet of the Apes wall, were the movie of the same names was filmed. When you reach Century lake, make sure to take the path down to the lake, its a truly spectacular place to stop for a picnic. Those with more energy can continue on several miles past Century lake to the site of the old M.A.S.H television series.

Getting There:
From Highway 101/Ventura Freeway, take Las Virgines Road in Agora towards the beach. Just after crossing Mulhulland Road, you will see the Malibu Creek State Park entrance on your right. Park in the second parking lot. There is a $12 fee or you can park on Mulhulland Road if you can find parking!

My plan is to continue on to the M.A.S.H site, however I will play it by ear- if thats the case, I will make sure that those of you who want to skip that add on will be able to return back safely- it is a well marked loop and has a good amount of traffic so I'm not concerned about the group separating at this point. I always love to offer hikes that can provide a wide range of activity levels, and this seems like a great one for just that!
