MOONLIT KAYAKING, Back Bay

MOONLIT KAYAKING, Back Bay

Details

INFORMATION ONLY - THIS PADDLE IS HOSTED BY NEWPORT AQUATIC CENTER, NOT BY THIS MEETUP GROUP.
These are great for those who don't have their own boats. I am considering doing some regular Full Moon ocean or harbor paddles as well. Comment here with interest etc.

Kayak Paddle under a shimmering full moon with expert guide, Danny Hough. In the Spring and Summer the paddle sets out into the pink layers of a setting sun over the glassy waters of the Upper Newport Back Bay in Newport Beach. It’s an easy paddle, even for 1st-timers and passes through a magnificent bird estuary.

Ages 8+ (there’s even been an 80-year old previously), and all levels are welcome. However, if you have a medical condition or walking up a flight of stairs makes you short of breath, this is not for you.

FYI: Even on COLD evenings, it is WARM once you’re on the water. Dress in layers.
