What is Brain-Computer Interface Technology?

Details
Imagine moving a mechanical arm by just thinking about it. Or playing a video game using only your mind. Although it may seem like science fiction, scientists and engineers have been developing this technology for decades: it's called brain-computer interface, or BCI.
The field of BCI relies on the ability of the brain to be able to generate certain types of responses that can then be harnessed by computers, to be able to be interpreted by computers. Our speaker, Dr. Yu Sun, will briefly go through a discussion of invasive BCI and non-invasive BCI, and how it works toward building a future where the brain and technology come together seamlessly.
The speaker:
Dr. Yu Sun is a material scientist focusing on graphene materials. He is a column writer for DeDao app, a well-known audio column app in China with 25 M users. He is also a technology analyst and founder of a brain computer interface company.
( $10 in cash will be collected at event to cover venue cost. Coffee, tea, and snacks included)
