We will learn & discuss Phalcon (https://phalconphp.com) a super fast web framework implemented as a PHP extension written in C. Its performance is unparalleled in PHP world, and it does have a very clean API. We will implement REST microservices, connect them to a database, test with "curl", and hopefully write a ReactJS based front-end.
