Music & Party with BARRY WINE Summer on 17th

EVENT: Join the sassy singles for a fun evening of continuing SUMMER ON 17th a great outdoor ambience of listening and dancing to Sweet Barry Wine at Tomkins Park. Bring your lawn chair (or arrive earlier and snag one of the available chairs and tables with us). You can also bring any liquor you would like to drink as the event is licensed (Do not drive if impaired!!)
If the group wishes we can go to a 17 Ave local bar/lounge for a drink/ snacks to finish off the evening.
Sweet Barry Wine is a collective of active musicians formed in Calgary, Alberta, led by Sweet Barry Wine himself, Barry Mason (Vocals and Guitar), along with Kyle Tenove (Bass), Cam Buie (Keyboards) and Carson Gant (Drums). The group is often rounded out with other local musicians creating a variety of different configurations for their live shows, reflective of the group’s ever-evolving sound

WHEN: Friday, September 01, 2023 at 5:30. Music goes from 6 – 8:30 pm. PLEASE give at least 24 hours notice if you are thinking of cancelling. It gives others time to get on the attend list. If you short notice cancel or do not show for an event you signed up for you will be assessed a 'no show'. People not showing for events is very disheartening and disrespectful to the organizers that put lot of time and effort into planning fun and entertaining events for YOU!

COST/PAYMENT: No cost for event. There is a $2.00 Meet-up charge for each person.

WHERE: Tomkins Park 17 Avenue & 8 Street SW Calgary, AB T2T 0A2

RESERVATION/HOW TO FIND US: Look for the Meetup sign where we are located until 6:00pm We are sitting in the round table and chairs section close to the band.

AGE RANGE: For Singles 50+. This is a multi-Meet up/Facebook event.

DRESS CODE: Dress for the weather of the day, comfortably in layers.

PARKING/TRANSPORTATION: Parking is at a premium as this event is popular with the public. Arrive early to find suitable parking in the area. Be prepared to walk a few blocks.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: You may bring water or your own liquor with you. You may drink alcohol beverages as long as you remain seated while doing so. (The event is licensed). Bring or purchase your supper or snacks to enjoy while you are listening to the music.

CONDITIONS: If people have previous “no shows” they may be put on the wait list if the event is at capacity.
If you feel sick, do not attempt to participate ... please stay home. Keep your RSVP current. Be respectful to those on the wait list who are looking for a spot. No-Shows and short cancellations (less than 24 hrs from event time) are recorded.
