Learn-to-Play Dungeons & Dragons 5E (Level 3)
Details
Let's get together and play some D&D! We'll be running a one-shot with 3rd-level characters in 5th edition Dungeons & Dragons. Come with a character prepared or make one together with us! Beginners, we can guide you through the character creation/leveling up process, but it might be a good idea to come with a character concept already in mind (race, class, background, etc.). If you cannot make it to character creation, don't worry we will have some pre-generated characters that you can grab and level up quickly.
The 3rd-level one-shot we are running is beginner-friendly, so don't be intimidated if you haven't played before.
Agenda:
5:30 pm - Character building (Level 3 Characters)
6:30 pm - One-shot play
8:00 pm - Start to wrap things up
8:30 pm - Event ends, but feel free to stick around and keep playing if you haven't finished
Even if you already have a character prepared, please plan to be there by 6:15pm at the latest so that we can assign you to a group and play can get started around 6:30 pm.
Heather will be there at 5:15 pm for anyone who wants to get there early or needs some extra help building their character.
There will be four DMs available to run the one-shots, with groups capped at around 5 players per DM. If you like your group members, feel free to exchange information to form a more regular group!
If you are interested in playing, pay attention to the following: while making your character, keep in mind that you will be playing as a part of a team of others and your character should be willing to cooperate with them. If this, for you, means not making an Evil character, take that into account.
Making your own Character?
Make a 3rd level character. Please try stick to the Basic Rules and the Player's Handbook for this one-shot. If you have are a more experienced player and would like to use other books to build your character, just let us know. You can roll for stats (roll 4 d6, drop the lowest).
We will provide some paper character sheets, but feel free to bring your own. If you would prefer a digital character sheet, please bring a device to make/view one on. Also, if you have dice, feel free to bring them. We will have a few extra sets, but the more dice, the better!
We look forward to seeing you there!
