Wild edibles walk

Details
Weeds to Feed
10 plants, 10 people
A guided and interactive edible plant identification walk! Each person that joins this event will be given a plant name and photograph. As we come upon your plant on our journey, you can introduce yourself, then introduce the plant by name. If you choose to do some research on the plant, its features, its uses, facts about it, etc., to share with group, that would be great, but not necessary. The goal is to have 10 people and 10 plants.
Associating fresh faces with each new plant will help with memory retention and by using the group sharing format we can experience a different way to relate to each other and with the plants. By keeping the group small we will be able to have more time for questions and examining our new food friends. A handout will be provided for each person so you won't have to fuss over taking notes.
Once 10 people confirm to attend, the walk will be full. The names of first 10 people will be posted as attendees in the comments below. A waiting list will be also be added, if needed. If response is high, we will add new dates and times - and may even make it a regular monthly thing at different locations in the area.
We will meet inside the Co-op at 5:30 and start the walk outside at six. Rain date and/overflow will be on the 20th.
After this walk, you may be putting weeds in your salad instead of in the compost bin.
