Louisiana’s Film Incentives in 2023, a Masterclass with Chris Stelly

Details
In November, we're doing another joint meeting with the Baton Rouge Film Meetup. This time we'll hear from Chris Stelly about the state of Louisiana’s film industry and the incentives that make it possible. The state’s tax credits allow producers to get reimbursements for up to 40% of their qualifying films, TV shows, and digital media projects. There are also incentives for working with Louisiana residents, producing locally written screenplays, and using Louisiana post-production facilities.
Some recent projects that were shot and/or had post-production work done in Louisiana here include Daisy Jones and the Six, Haunted Mansion, National Treasure: Edge of History, Renfield, True Detective, Twilight Breaking Dawn, and Where the Crawdads Sing. In this meetup, you’ll learn everything you need to know about how to take advantage of the film incentives for your next production and how to participate in projects that are already using those incentives.
We’ll be meeting at BRQ, one of Baton Rouge’s distinguished BBQ spots, where we have their spacious Backyard Cabana reserved on November 15 at 5:30 PM. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to help us ensure that we have enough space reserved.
