Alexa + Smart Home Demo Night

We have four presenters for our third meetup, which is focused on smart home integrations and skills for Alexa.

We'll be meeting at the AWS Popup Loft, which is a space where anyone can grab a coffee, work on their app, and get in-person answers to their technical AWS questions - at no cost. Feel free to come by earlier in the day to hang out and do work at the Loft.

About our speakers:

Amit Jotwani, a senior evangelist for Amazon Alexa, will give an overview of the smart home + Alexa ecosystem and how to use Alexa as an interface for smart home devices.

Rohit Sriram, product manager at Ecobee, the smart thermostat company, will be speaking about Alexa + Ecobee.

Chris Becker, a software engineer at Warby Parker, will be presenting an Alexa skill called The Dishwasher, which provides a voice interface for interacting with your dishwasher.

Sylvain Lemiere, director of backend at Wink, will be talking about the Wink + Alexa skill. Wink allows users to link and control their smart home devices from a single digital dashboard.
