Rust Meetup (Beta 1) - Let's Try Lightning Talks

Let's try doing some lightning talks - If you're interested in doing a 5 minute talk then send me a note. Confirmed talks:

• Jim Grandpre on how rust (ab)uses type inference for collections (FromIterator) and error handling (FromError) and why he thinks it is awesome.

• Rick Richardson on his Reactive Streams (https://github.com/12sidedtech/RxRust) library and Evented IO with Rust.

• Luke Rodgers on learning rust by reimplementing the *nix coreutils.

• David Campbell on binding to IUP (http://webserver2.tecgraf.puc-rio.br/iup/).

• Corey Farwell on GeoRust (https://github.com/georust) a set of libraries for playing with geospatial file formats.

A few others have expressed interest, I'll add descriptions here as soon as they confirm with me. After the lightning talks we'll hang out, talk, and hack as usual. Beginners are always welcome.
