Let's Hike Up to Lost Lake via Hessie Trail near Eldora

What a wonderful way to begin Mother's Day Weekend with a beautiful hike to Lost Lake and enjoy the beauty of mother nature.
Let's head out on the beautiful trail near Eldora, CO.
Looks to be a beautiful hike out and back to Lost Lake, where we can stop and have lunch.
Apparently moose can be spotted from time to time.
Total Trail Length: 4.0 miles (out and back)
Elevation Gain: 830 ft.
Route Type: Out & Back - Moderatly Challenging
Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash
Located near Eldora west of Nederland off of County Road 130.
**Parking fills up quickly so I suggest that we leave Littleton/designated meeting spot at 7am and arrive to get to the parking lot by 8am for good parking. It is about a 1.5 hour drive to trail head.
Please wear hiking boots, as it may be slushy or snow in some spots, pack a jacket, water for yourself, snacks, and a lunch as we will stop at Lost Lake for lunch.
I am not a hiking guide. I have not hiked this trail previously, but do have an All Trails app, with navigation. Everyone is an adult and is responsible for themselves.
I have room for 3 in my vehicle and will be happy to drive. We can meet at the determined meetup spot. If you would like to carpool, please let me know. Also if anyone else would like to offer rides, that would be great as parking is usually a challenge at popular Colorado hiking spots.
