WHAT TO EXPECT
AAA has hosted Hiking Weekend events for over a decade. We have a wealth of experience that will ensure that you will enjoy some great & safe hikes.

HIKE GRADES
You will have a choice of hikes, ranging from Moderate to Energetic Hikes, all led by competent hike leaders. AAA hike leaders have extensive navigational and hike-leading experience and are trained in wilderness first aid.

You can expect the shorter hikes to be around 15km and the longer hikes to be 25-30 km. We will take the weather into account and offer routes on the day.

IMPORTANT: This trip is designed for a range of hiking abilities from novice to experienced. AAA provides hike choices so you can select your hikes accordingly.

ITINERARY
The event starts at the accommodation at 18:00 and finishes after the half-day hike on Sunday around 2 pm.

ACCOMMODATION
Gower Activity Centre at Borfa House is in the village of Port Eynon, in Britain’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The house is next to the dunes and beach.

Each room has a private bathroom. There are nine showers and 11 toilets. This is one of our favourite hostels in the UK. All rooms are for four people.

Single £99, Twin £149 extra for a weekend. The number is limited!

FOOD
All of our famous AAA meals are home-cooked with options for vegan and vegetarian diets. Most other dietary requirements can be catered for if advised in advance. Meals are provided as per the inclusions below.

TRANSPORT
Driving is the best option to reach the Hostel. To share a lift & offer one, please check out this Event Message Board.

COST
The price includes:

• 2 nights’ accommodation
• 2 Cooked breakfasts
• 2 Packed lunches
• Choices of Guided Hikes by Experienced Hike Leaders
• Compliance with the 2018 Package Travel Regulations includes financial protection.

The price does not include:

• Transport to the destination
