HIGHLIGHTS

• Experience the beauty of the Costa Brava - the 'Wild Coast' of Spain in the best season, when the sea is still warm and the air is about 25 °C.
• Easy/Moderate Coastal Walks, around 6-10 km a day, along the Cami de Ronda to wild beaches, inhaling a healing mix of sea & pine, and juniper trees' air.
• A new destination, a tailor-made event, based at the charming Hotel Garbí with amazing food in Calella de Palafrugell, one of the most beautiful and representative towns on the Costa Brava.
• Experienced Hike Leaders with a choice of 2 walks every day.
• Optional water activities: SUP, sea kayaking, open sea swimming, or even scuba diving if you dare.
• A day trip to Tossa de Mar with an optional boat trip

EXTRA 3 DAYS
You may stay longer to explore more, till 27.09. for £299 extra (single room £434) for B&B. It was very popular last year.

LOCATION
For good reason, we chose as our base a former, old fishing village in the municipality of Palafrugell, with picture-postcard beaches, coves and a Mediterranean flavour. It has a special charm, and its old maritime quarter, Port Bo, has been declared a cultural asset of national importance. This quarter retains the original layout of the village, with its traditional white-porch buildings. It includes the complex of vaults, originally used to sew nets and auction fish.
You'd not see many foreigners but Spaniards on holiday there.
Calella de Palafrugell has coves and beaches linked via a well-engineered coastal walk known as the Cami de Ronda, which passes along the cliffs and through several tunnels on the way. It was originally built to connect the diverse coastal towns, beaches and small bays. Later, it was used to help the Carabineros control the coast and stop smuggling.
We will walk the most scenic sections of the path that winds down the coast from Begur to Calella de Palafrugell and further south to La Fosca.

HIKE GRADES
You will have a choice of walks, ranging from easy to moderate, all led by experienced hike leaders. AAA hike leaders have extensive navigational and hike-leading experience and are trained in wilderness first aid. You can expect the shorter walks to be around 6 km and the longer ones to be 10-12 km.

The event starts at the Girona airport at 17:20 and finishes there at 18:10.

ACCOMMODATION
We are based at the Hotel Garbí, in one of the most beautiful places on the Costa Brava, the delightful town of Calella de Palafrugell, just 5 minutes away from the beaches and villages with rich cultural and gastronomic traditions.
The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub and large gardens around the hotel, which are very quiet.

FOOD
The hotel is famous for its food! Most dietary requirements can be catered for if advised in advance. The hotel rooms have small bar fridges. We plan to go out for two dinners. You can choose to make your packed lunch or have it in a beach restaurant.
