WHAT TO EXPECT
AAA has hosted Hiking Weekend events for over 16 years. We have a wealth of experience, ensuring you enjoy some great hikes and homemade meals, we are famous for.

HIKE GRADES
You will have a choice of hikes, ranging from Moderate to Energetic. When we have three or more leaders, we also offer Challenging routes. AAA leaders have extensive navigational and hike-leading experience and are trained in wilderness first aid.
You can choose between shorter hikes of around 15-16 km, 500-600 m of ascent, and longer, more demanding hikes of 18-25 km, 1000-1200 m of ascent. We will take the weather into account and offer routes on the day.
ITINERARY
The event starts at the Kings Hostel at 18:00 and finishes after the half-day hike on Monday around 1 pm.

ACCOMMODATION
We rented Private Kings Hostel, set in its own wooded ravine, on the river meadow just for our group.
This is a very popular venue; we may hike up to Cadair Idris from a doorstep. There is a fire pit we can sit by in the evening.
Accommodation is in male and female rooms for 6 people.
When we are full, you may camp for half price on a field by the river.
FOOD
All of our famous AAA meals are home-cooked with options for vegan and vegetarian diets. All Meals are provided.
You can bring your own alcoholic drinks & snacks.
There is no need for additional expenses, such as a meal out or driving to a local restaurant or pub

TRANSPORT
Driving is the best option to reach the Hostel. Please check out this file to request or offer a lift.

COST
The price includes:

• 3 nights’ accommodation
• 3 Cooked breakfasts
• 2 Cream Teas

• Choices of 2 Daily Guided Hikes by experienced hike leaders
