Oct.11-14 Slovak Paradise NP - Spa Hotel at 1355 m, Slovakian Tatras - Weekend

AAA is going back to Slovakian Tatras & Slovak Paradise National Park!
We ran several successful trips in 2015-19 in summer, winter and autumn.
It was a pleasure to have an ever-popular winter fun event in January 2025.

This time we will enjoy the beauty of the Golden Autumn colours.
This trip is for you whether you're an enthusiastic hiker or are looking for a more relaxed holiday because you can switch between hiking and easy walking/sightseeing each day.

HIKING

There will be choices of different walks, exploring the Tatra mountains - the smallest mountain range in the World with an alpine character, with fascinating views.

The Slovak Paradise is a gem among Slovak national parks. There are 300 km of marked trails stretching through this enchanting paradise.
It may look like most walking trails are not that challenging, and the elevation is not particularly high, but the walks feel like an adventure because of their exciting routes.
Crossing Ravines is an obstacle course, full of wooden and metal ladders, bridges, and chains.

- You can make it a relaxing weekend, by walking 8-10 km a day on moderate hikes

- An energetic break with 16-20 km hikes reaching the mountain huts & summits, ascending/descending 1000-1200 m

- If there is demand, we may organise challenging hikes to the highest peaks ascending/descending 1500-1800 m.

Hike with our experienced guides and in the company of like-minded people.

SIGHTSEEING

We are based in Štrbské Pleso, at 1,355m, flanked by the Tatra Mountains and set by a namesake lake ski resort village. Its picturesque mountain lake of glacial origin is a top tourist destination in the High Tatras. There is a chairlift so you can ride up for a coffee with a view.
A tram connects local tourist villages on the foothills, offering a convenient and affordable way to travel.
We will visit Stary Smokovec & Tatranska Lomnica villages, as well as Vrbov Thermal Pools one afternoon after the hike.

The natural hot geothermal water has healing effects.

WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED

AAA has hosted Hiking & Sightseeing events for over 16 years. Your group organiser Misha has been to this particular area more than 15 times and has brought over 250 members to this destination.

ACCOMMODATION

We will be based in the 3***Hotel staying in the heart of Štrbské Pleso in a hotel with a Spa in twin rooms (single rooms available) on half-board including:

• Finnish sauna up to 100°C
• Canadian sauna up to 80°C
• swimming pool with salt water
• salt steam bath up to 45°C
• massage bath

Classic, reflex, honey and lymphatic drainage massages are available for extra (Affordable from €30 per hour!).

9 Airport pickup - Fly into Poprad-Tatry airport
10 Bags drop off at a hotel & explore a village
13 Lunch in cafes
14 Check-in
14:30 3 hour, 10 km walk to Popradske Pleso
19 Dinner

9 Departing for hikes - exact routes tbc according to the weather.

The price includes the following:

• 3 nights Half-Board in twin hotel rooms
