HIGHLIGHTS

• A choice of routes to the summit of Snowdon, 1,085 m, by the easier up/down via the Snowdon Ranger Path or up via the Watkin Path.
• Hike around Beddgelert, undoubtedly the loveliest village in the area.
• Woodland hike via Beddgelert Forest and the old slate mines, and a derelict village.
• Scramble up the Nantlle Ridge, undoubtedly one of the classic ridge-walking routes.
• Experienced AAA event organisers are on hand throughout to advise you on your choice of hike based on the selection offered.
• At least 2-3 choices of hikes each day led by Experienced Leaders.
• An all-inclusive, fully catered trip with homemade healthy meals.

WHAT TO EXPECT
AAA has hosted Hiking Weekend events for over 16 years. As a result, we have a wealth of experience, ensuring you will enjoy some great hikes, all led by experienced leaders and offering healthy, tasty food.

HIKE GRADES
You will have a choice of hikes, ranging from Moderate to Energetic. When we have three or more leaders, we also offer Challenging routes. AAA leaders have extensive navigational and hike-leading experience and are trained in wilderness first aid.

You can choose between shorter hikes of around 15 km and longer, more demanding 25 km+. We will take the weather into account and offer routes on the day.

ITINERARY
The event starts at the accommodation at 18:00 and finishes after the half-day hike on Monday, around 1 pm.

ACCOMMODATION
We reserved the YHA Snowdon Ranger just for our group.
A former inn on the western edge of Snowdonia nestles at the foot of Snowdon. It is ideally located for exploring the mountains, valleys & lakes.
It has a games room with a pool table and table football, a drying room, and a payphone. Wooded grounds across the road lead down to a lakeside beach on Llyn Cwellyn. Free WiFi.
Accommodation is in single-sex rooms for 4,6 people.
Twin bunkroom (1 only): £199 extra for the weekend

FOOD
All of our famous AAA meals are home-cooked with options for vegan and vegetarian diets. All Meals are provided.
You can bring your alcoholic drinks & snacks.
There is no need for additional expenses, such as a meal out or driving to a local restaurant or pub

TRANSPORT

The price includes the following:

• 3 nights' accommodation
• 3 Cooked breakfasts
• Friday light supper
