DESCRIPTION
Come and join me for a Surrey Hills adventure - as this is my home turf, I like to find undulating paths less known.

We start walking through Holmwood Common, an ancient common once owned by King Harold and William the Conqueror. The mature oak trees will hopefully be in their full autumnal blaze as we walk through dappled woodland and occasional clearings. As we walk into Abinger Forest, we will be walking in a pine forest as we head to Coldhabour Common to the infamous Leith Hill for tea and their refrigerator cake and other sweet offerings.

We then continue on smaller paths over Wotton Common as we head up north to the North Downs, for the last of the beech and oak tree colour to be rewarded with another fantastic view over Ranmore Common. We end up in Westhumble for a well deserved pub fare. Be prepared for a bit of nighttime walking if we don’t get our skates on to make 4km/ hour - so please bring a torch.

It will be a colourful day out in the Surrey Hills with a feast of colour, various forests and woodlands, vistas and pub to rest our feet at the end of the day.

ps. My walks make time to enjoy the views, take in local history, and look at interesting buildings along the way.
