Discover the magic of Kent on this enchanting flat countryside hike ending in one of England's most historic cities. We’ll follow the scenic Stour Valley Way through peaceful fields, ancient woodland and small villages, before taking the North Downs Way back to the magnificent Canterbury Cathedral — a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning architecture and rich history. We’ll finish by soaking up the festive atmosphere at the Cathedral’s Christmas markets, before rounding off the day with a well-earned drink in a cosy local pub — the perfect end to a perfect day out!"

Grade: Beginner/Intermediate, flat, along good paths.

Hike start: 11am Canterbury Cathedral (15 min walk from either station - see below)
Hike finish: 4.30pm Canterbury Cathedral
Join us for a wander around the markets and a drink in a local pub afterwards.

- Head torch for the last half an hour or so
- Packed lunch and snacks
- Water - 2 litres recommended
- Waterproof jacket and trousers (Please no jeans!)
- Warm windproof layer e.g. Down/Primaloft/Fleece
- Wicking base layer e.g. Polyester/Tencel/Merino
CANCELLING/REFUNDS
If you can no longer join the hike, please message the Host listed on here, and update your RSVP status to 'Not going', to allow others to take your place. If the hike is full, and you have messaged us and have changed your RSVP to 'Not going', we will refund you, less than the PayPal/Meetup fees. To obtain this, please email info@aaalondongroup.com after the event, with the email address you use on your PayPal account and transaction reference. If the hike is not full, unfortunately we will not be able to provide any refund.
