A Classic: 'Downs to the sea', via Devil's Dyke
Details
Join us on this classic walk that showcases some of the finest scenery in the South Downs, moving from village into open chalkland and rural farms. We’ll traverse rolling hills to Devil’s Dyke, a dramatic natural valley cutting deep through the Downs, with sweeping views across the Weald. After lunch, we'll walk along the Downs where they are quieter and more expansive, with changing light, long grassy ridges and views to the sea. The walk finishes along the River Adur, offering a contrast between high open hills and coastal landscape, and we’ll round off the day with optional food and drink in a local pub overlooking the river.

Grade: Intermediate, along good paths with a few ascents

CANCELLING/REFUNDS
If you can no longer join the hike, please message the Host listed on here, and update your RSVP status to 'Not going', to allow others to take your place. If the hike is full, and you have messaged us and have changed your RSVP to 'Not going', we will refund you, less than the PayPal/Meetup fees. To obtain this, please email info@aaalondongroup.com after the event, with the email address you use on your PayPal account and transaction reference. If the hike is not full, unfortunately we will not be able to provide any refund.
