Learning Apache Spark - practically speaking

We got the best location possible for a meetup directly in center city at Comcast Center the landmark of Philadelphia connected to septa , regional trains and buses.

Apache Spark is one of the hottest technologies out there. In this meetup we will start with an introduction to Apache spark and what it really takes to learn it and use it in your project. We are going to look at Spark , what it really is, what it could be used for and how its different from Hadoop yet works so well with Hadoop.

We will have couple of presenters who will explain the real big things we are trying here at Comcast.

Speaker: Sridhar Alla, Director of Solutions, Comcast.

He previously presented at Strata and Spark summits and is soon presenting at 2016 Spark Summit in NYC so its going to be a great tech talk.

We are also getting a speaker from the Data Science Department who can show you the depth of what you can do with Spark.
