HS Analysis - Suitable assistants for the automation of laboratories in life science using deep learning methods and robots
The HSA KIT infrastructure as human-machine collaboration and robotics integrated in the life science and medical environment enables the controlled training of AI and robots according to specifications. Thus, lab staff, researchers and physicians are able to configure their own SUPER AI and robots without programming knowledge. Training of Deep Learning models serves as the basis for analytics and is also done embedded on the robots. We talk about how Deep Learning models are created and also how students learn about these tasks as academic work in practice. Also we talk about possible applications as research/industry projects as collaboration with HSA/BIN Holding.

Olympus - Semantic and instance segmentation of microscopic images using pre-trained neuronal networks
Robust segmentation of microscopic images is the foundation for the subsequent analysis of the image content and hence the (biological) properties of the sample. Some segmentation tasks, like the instance segmentation of cells or nuclei, can be generalized over hardware and sample variations such that microscope suppliers can provide reliable pre-trained neuronal networks to their customers, giving a quick start in everyday analyses.

Eurogard - Challenges with agile development methods and AI based applications in the GMP environment
Life Sciences require in many cases GMP conformity. In operations, in engineering and of course in computerized systems. This presentation is about what challengesan IT system provider like eurogard faces and what approaches we consider to be suitable for lean software development and the validation of ML application in the GMP environment.
