Mobile Augmented Reality - UX Breakfast Club

The UX Breakfast Club, sponsored by The Los Angeles User Experience Meetup group and Vitamin T (http://vitamintalent.com/), provides a setting to discuss topics related to User Experience or emerging issues in the field that may be impacting the discipline.

The UX Breakfast Club will meet on Saturday, July 21st at 9:00 AM at Cafe Laurent in Culver City. The event is free. You will notice that you are required to place a deposit when you submit your RSVP. Your money will be refunded if you attend. This allows us to provide a precise reservation to Cafe Laurent.

Gaia Dempsey (https://www.meetup.com/UX-Breakfast-Club-and-Other-Fun-Activities/photos/9127232/133007882/) is a founding team member and VP of Product at daqri (http://site.daqri.com/). She began her startup career at Idealab, where she supported incubated startups and worked in the marketing and in-house social media departments. Next, Gaia co-founded and served as an executive at the interactive and digital marketing firm Demeter Interactive, specializing in California tech startups and companies with a focus on sustainability. At this firm Gaia's responsibilities included managing creative campaigns, developing client education curriculums, creating social media content plans & implementing digital event integration, and executing marketing strategies.

In February 2010 Gaia joined daqri to help create the world's first-of-its-kind enterprise-class augmented reality platform. As a Co-Founder and VP of Product, she develops and executes product strategy to serve brands large and small, championing a design led ethos. Gaia also serves as the liaison for global educational and art-related partnerships.

Brian Mullins (https://www.meetup.com/UX-Breakfast-Club-and-Other-Fun-Activities/photos/9127232/), CEO of daqri (http://site.daqri.com/), is a visionary and a pioneer in the field of augmented reality. He studied engineering at the US Merchant Marine Academy, after which he helped to develop systems that employed some of the earliest vision based mixed reality technologies while working in the field of simulation at the U.S. Department of Transportation, and later at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, CA. He is currently the Founder and CEO of Santa Monica, CA based daqri, creator of enterprise class augmented reality technologies and solutions.
