AI Deployment & Privacy

Details
We welcome you to another great event in the Aarhus AI meetup group! This time we will hear from two speakers on the very important topics of deployment of ML pipelines and privacy in AI.
The event will be hosted by Trifork in the Dokk1 cantina - there will be drinks and food for participants.
René Thomsen
It is commonplace to see companies dividing teams in such a way so that prototypical predictive models using machine learning techniques are being developed by data scientists before handing them over to the software team for reimplementation and deployment. At Scio+ we do it differently. In his talk, René Thomsen walks through the various steps involved at Scio+ for deploying data-driven predictive models to customers where data scientists are involved in the entire model pipeline.
René Thomsen is Head of Data Science at Scio+ and has a PhD in Computer Science from Aarhus University. Over his career, René has both developed and applied evolutionary algorithms and machine learning techniques to various problems spanning from DNA sequence anlysis and molecular docking simulations to more recent applications of machine learning to optimise broiler production.
Adam Hede
When discussing the societal impact of our data-driven future, privacy consistently comes up as a major concern, but what is privacy exactly? That question quickly gets surprisingly difficult to answer. So join us, for what might be one of the most important debates of artificial intelligence, and see what happens when a machine learning practitioner with a master in political science gets to mix his two favorite subjects.
Adam is a machine learning practitioner with a master degree in political science. With a considerable amount of practical experience he focuses on prototyping ideas for business and government and bring artificial intelligence into wide-spread usage in Denmark.
