Talks:
Title: Micro Frontends vs modulith: The tradeoffs
Abstract: Micro frontends are gaining a lot of traction in the web development space. Breaking a large, monolithic frontend into smaller, indenpendent parts provides great benefits, but the cost of the increased complexity is sometimes overlooked - and then there is performance implications to consider too.
In this talk, we will take a critical look at micro frontends, and compare them with an alternative: A well-modularised monolith, the “modulith”. Which architectural style is right for you?
Fortunately, you do not have to choose - you can mix and match aspects of moduliths and aspects of micro frontends, and gradually evolve your architecture as your application grows.
Speakers: Anders Hessellund Jensen & Tom Quast
Title: High ROI testing with Angular Applications
Abstract: Testing is often seen as the dreaded duty that needs to be done to satisfy the company’s policy of X% code coverage without actually preventing regressions that well.
This talk is about how to archive the highest return on investment (ROI) when developing Angular apps by using a new formula of unit, integration, and E2E and is debunking why you should ditch the classical testing pyramid.
We will cover how each level of the testing strategy in particular integration testing with Cypress component testing.
Speaker: Christian Lüdemann
Bio: Christian Lüdemann is a software consultant and entrepreneur from Aarhus, Denmark who helps people creating better Angular apps through consulting and training.
