SOOS Orchid Show: Tripods Permitted Photography

Details
Do you love the ethereal beauty of Orchids like I do? The strange stark stalks with large alien like blooms can make for such fascinating photographs.
Join me at the Southern Ontario Orchid Society's Annual show for a chance to photograph their best in show!
The show will feature over 30,000 orchids in over 6000 square feet of space and will take place on Saturday and Sunday, during the regular hours of the show, you cannot use a tripod to take photographs, only handheld images are permitted. However the society makes a special allowance on Sunday morning for 2 hours before the show starts, where the space will be open to photographers only and our tripods will be allowed. This is a great opportunity to take some stunning photographs of these beautiful orchid displays.
The only cost for this meetup is the admission cost for the show which is 12 dollars which you will pay directly at the door. (not to me) They accept cash only. However they have a coupon available on their website, that gives you two dollars off. You can grab that here:

After 11am you are welcome to stay and take handheld photos and enjoy the exhibition. We can also head for a quick coffee after we are done shooting. I am really excited about this show, and hoping you can all join me, in the meantime, here are some fabulous photos of orchids to give you inspiration:
