Open Mic Night

Here's a chance to share your work before a live audience!

Read your original work on stage at one of Abbotsford's most ardent supporters of the arts - Sippchai. Or, if you're too shy to brave getting up in front of a (small!) crowd, drop by to cheer on your fellow writing colleagues who've managed to work up the nerve.

If your soul is hardy enough to perform your work, sign-up begins at 6:30pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Each reader will have a maximum of 10 minutes to read, so prepare your piece with that in mind.

The venue only holds 50, and we cannot reserve seats so the closer you are to 6:30 the better the odds you'll get a seat.

The venue serves some fabulous teas, and offers a wide variety of baked goods including their locally famous doughnuts.
