This Wednesday night we meet Move. Your resident convener Ryan Powderly will get us acquainted with the fresh new standalone instrument from Ableton. Our staple segment Track Feedback will be happening too, so get your submissions in now. Discord link below.
Love and gratitude to local Naarm artist/DJ/producer Mabel for our fresh artwork. Follow Mabel here:

Our meetup will be an opportunity for community members to showcase and get feedback on their own music. If you'd like your music played, make sure to join us on Discord and post your track in the Track Feedback channel.

Ableton User Group Narrm/Melbourne acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we gather, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung. We also acknowledge the neighbouring Kulin Nation groups, the Boonwurrung and Bunurong people, and pay our respects to elders, past and present.
This is a user-run community site and not officially
administered by Ableton AG, Inc or KK
Entry is free, and we welcome all attendees no matter what level of experience you have with Ableton Live. The user group is a chance to meet, connect, share knowledge, get feedback, and hang out with our community of Narrm-based music-makers.
We're excited about our partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne's ‘The Channel’, who generously offer us their space, which is part of the Hamer Hall complex on the Yarra River, just a couple of minutes walk from Flinders Street Station in the CBD.
Ableton User Group Melbourne is part of Arts Centre Melbourne’s Frequency program, alongside Next in Audio (presented by Heck Media).
About Ryan Powderly:
Ryan Powderly is the organiser and host of Ableton User Group Narrm/Melbourne, a bi-monthly meetup which welcomes all music-makers. He is also a music academic at RMIT and University of Melbourne, where he recently completed his Bachelor of Music (Interactive Composition).
He is co-owner of the brand Pelvis; a clothing label, record label and monthly party held in Sydney, Melbourne and Tokyo. With over twenty years experience as a DJ, composer and house music producer, his work often incorporates found sounds into his sample-heavy style of club music.
During the stir-craziness of Covid lockdowns, Ryan created a series of Instagram videos, turning household sounds into techno video clips. This led to live-streamed Ableton Live sessions featured on the homepage of Twitch, hosting workshops with acid house legend A Guy Called Gerald, and bringing the Household Techno concept into the world of TV commercials, for brands like Bonsoy and Sneaker Freaker.
