1. 15km over bog, Mountain Trails, Roadways and some steeper inclines.

## Amount of climbing

1. 789m of Incline, with some parts having 30+ degree incline

## Rations and Supplies

1. As we will be walking away from shops and restaurants, we recommend bringing a packed lunch for each walk. A supply of water to keep you hydrated is also recommended.

## Clothing

## - Walking Shoes/ Boots are a must for this walk. A lot of it involves steep, difficult terrain and standard runners just wouldn’t be suitable.

## - A set of Rain Gear is Recommended, as it is Ireland and it is a long walk, so Getting wet is fairly undesirable. Cotton or denim get very cold when wet, but wools, lycra and thermal lairs tend to stay warm.

• Hats / Gloves and an additional clothing layer will also come in useful as it can get particularly cold at heights.
• Gaiters will prove useful on this route as a lot of the route involves crossing bog, which can get quite wet and soggy.

Also please to bring any emergency medication with you and let somebody know how to access it. We won’t be able to prevent something from happening if we don’t know about it.
