[HARD] South Sandia Peak via Hawk Watch and Three Gun Springs Trails

10.6 miles and 3,566 ft of elevation gain.
This hike will start off at the Three Guns Spring trailhead, but it quickly splits off to the Hawk Watch trail which climbs up to the crest. We'll then follow the crest trail to South Sandia peak, and then take Embudito and Three Gun Springs back to the start. This is a challenging hike but the views are worth it. Hawk Watch in particular is very steep, and the trail is in rough condition in places.
Remember to bring plenty of water, sun protection, and some food for a break at the top. Dogs are welcome, and I will be bringing mine.
