Orilla Verde 6/18-21 and Red River 6/21-23

I am doing a camping trip to Orilla Verde and Red River. You can choose to come to all or part of this trip and feel free to book whatever accommodations you like nearby if you do not want to camp.

You must book your own accommodations/ campsites.

I will have my 3 dogs with me.

I plan to leave Tuesday the 18th after work and get a site at one of the campground in Orilla Verde rec area off the Rio Grande. These sites are first come first serve. I am hoping to get a spot in either Lone Juniper or Petaca. I plan to camp at this site until Friday.

Orilla Verde

Friday I plan to drive part of the Enchanted Circle scenic drive from Orilla Verde to Eagles Nest and then to my campsite at Fawn Lake just 2.6 miles from Red River. I got campsite 8. Must book your own site or any other accommodations you like in Red River.

Fawn Lake Reservations

Schedule:
Tuesday June 18th:
5:00pm- Arrive Orilla Verde and find a campsite, set up camp, make food, chill for the night

Wednesday June 19th:
11:00am- Black Mesa Winery
12:00pm- La Chiripada Winery
1:00pm- Vivac Winery
2:00pm- Afternoon hanging out in and by the Rio Grande

Thursday June 20th:
2:00pm- Check out the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge Rest Area
3:00pm- Taos Mesa Brewing Mothership

Friday June 21st:
12:00pm- Lunch at Taos Mesa Brewing downtown Taos
1:30pm- Stop at Eagles Nest Lake
2:00pm- Comanche Creek Brewery
3:00pm- Arrive and set up camp at Fawn Lake
5:00pm- Dinner at Capo's in Red River (carb load before hike)

Saturday June 22nd:
9:00am- Hike Middle Fork Lake (4.7 miles round trip, high elevation moderate to difficult hike at your own risk)
1:00pm- Red River Brewery Lunch
2:00pm- Afternoon floating around in Fawn Lake

Sunday June 23rd:
Drive home
