What we're about
Albuquerque (ABQ) Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers who take an active role in our children’s lives. We seek to create an online meetup group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet several times a month, with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, parent-and-me classes, and living rooms across the Albuquerque Metro area. We'll also organize parenting workshops and dads-nights-out to give our members an opportunity to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood. There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for active dads! A diverse group with dads of all stripes: Stay At Home Dads, Dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelance dads, working dads, and involved fathers in and around the Albquerque area to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.
Albuquerque (ABQ) Dads Group is a member of the City Dads Group (http://www.citydadsgroup.com/) national organization. City Dads Group has communities of dads in other major metropolitan cities such as NYC, Boston, Philly, L.A., San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Indy, St. Louis, Portland, and Columbus. If you have any fatherly friends who live within a 100-mile radius of any of the City Dads Group cities, please let them know about these other Dads Groups and encourage them to join. Thanks!
** Please note this group is strictly for Dads with kids. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything parent related.

Going to move this to Sundays ( and bi-monthly), in hopes we can get more people out for these. Let's go hiking in the foothills of ABQ. We can do a picnic as well. Let's meet in the parking lot of Elena Gallegos at the first reststop. It's been awhile but the trails are fairly stroller friendly.
Here is a map of the area. https://www.cabq.gov/parksandrec... (https://www.cabq.gov/parksandrecreation/open-space/lands/elena.pdf)
After paying for parking at the ranger station you have to go right. Follow the road to the first restroom area parking. It will be on the left side of the road.
