Vegan Book Club: How to Argue with a Meat Eater (and Win Every Time)

Details

Attention all open minded, intellectually curious vegans, who are interested in new ideas, learning, and sharing insights on vegan topics: Join us for an ABQ Vegan Book Club!

We'll all read the same book before meeting for a roundtable and then open discussion, the second Wednesday of even numbered months. For May we'll read and discuss How to Argue with a Meat Eater (and Win Every Time) by Ed Winters, AKA Earthling Ed.

From https://www.howtoarguewithameateater.com:

"How to Argue With a Meat Eater will teach you to not only become a skilled debater, sharing the secrets of renowned vegan educator Ed Winters, but it will arm you with powerful facts and insights that will give pause to even the most devout meat eater."

U.S. orders of the hardback edition have begun to ship, and the book is available on some electronic outlets. In particular, we understand it's available for free if you have Spotify Premium.

Please read the book prior to the event!

For May let's Meet at Annapurna's at 5939 4th St NW, Albuquerque. Delicious vegan food and drinks will be available for purchase to enjoy during the discussion. All menu items, including breakfast items may be ordered whenever the restaurant is open.

Attendance is limited, so please play fair with your RSVP. We recognize that emergencies do come up, but keep in mind that it takes time to read a book. If you must cancel your RSVP, please try to give at least a week's notice, to give someone else a chance to read the book and attend. Repeated "no shows" and last minute cancelers may not be allowed to RSVP for future ABQ Vegan Book Club events.

Most dishes at Annapurna's are either vegan or can be made vegan. Please use care in ordering as some dishes at Annapurna's do contain dairy. Please respect all members of this ABQ Vegan Meetup event by ensuring that any food that you order at the restaurant is completely vegan.

At the conclusion of the May meeting, we'll vote on a book for the July meeting. Suggestions for vegan-related books are welcome.
