CANCELED: Canyon Trail challenging hike at Piedra Lisa trailhead with VEGANS!

Let's enjoy an invigorating morning of hiking and socializing with fellow vegans. This is a short but STRENUOUS hike, steep, with several boulders to climb over. We will hike for about 45 minutes out and then 45 minutes back, on the Canyon Trail, (also labeled the Piedra Lisa Trail or Whitewash Trail on some maps). Be prepared for a knee and ankle workout.

Please do not confuse the Piedra Lisa trailhead with the Piedra Lisa South or Piedra Lisa North trailheads. Drive east on Candelaria NE until it ends at Camino de la Sierra, turn right, and go about 1/4 mile, you will see the parking lot on your left.

There is free parking at this location, but no restroom facilities or drinking fountain. Please allow enough time for parking and prep to help us hit the trail on time at 10 AM sharp.

Please respect all members of this ABQ Vegan Meetup event by ensuring that any refreshments you may bring along for yourself are completely plant based (no meat, no dairy, no eggs, no honey).
