Dear Abu Dhabi Book Lovers,
Welcome to the world for Books! I was going through a comment on reddit where one of the redditors was asking where they can give away their books and then came up with the idea to create a book club where we can exchange our books and also have discussions over books/Authors/stories etc in guided presence of a host (me). I also manage Abu Dhabi Chess Lovers Club and therefore have already organized many events.
Abu Dhabi Book Lovers Meetup on 28th Feb 2026 (Book Giveaways)
on 28th Feb 2026, we will have our first meetup (Confirmation before arrival on the venue is a must! This is to ensure we know in advance how many book givers and book takers we have)
I want to keep Slots limited for the first event. For the first event maximum total slot = 10
Requirements:
- Come either as a book lover/ book giver/ book taker
- If there are < 10 books to be given away (will postpone the event) I myself have 3 books to give away so chances are that we will have an event
- The books must be in good condition (i.e., basic hygiene must be met)
- Any books banned/objectionable/ or pirated should not be brought to the event

- There is NO fee for the Club. We will meet in the same Cafe where I host the Chess matches. Just order a coffee maybe!
- In case of change of plans please inform at least 48 hours in advance so we give your slot to someone else.

If you are a storyteller or an author who would like to read out their story, even better! This is a step towards something very nice as the culture of public meetup clubs exists in Abu Dhabi but very less accessible to all. The club where we can have standups, performances, games and mainly book exchanges are not common and this Club will be your home!
