We’re kicking off our Read Around the World literary journey with our first destination: Egypt, and we couldn’t have chosen a more fitting novel than Palace Walk by Naguib Mahfouz — Nobel Prize–winning author and one of the most influential voices in modern Arabic literature.

📖 About the Book:
Set in Cairo during the early 20th century, Palace Walk follows the lives of the Al-Jawad family as they navigate tradition, authority, love, rebellion, and change — offering a powerful portrait of family life and society in transition.

📅 Date: Saturday, 31 January
⏰ Time: 2:00 PM
📍 Location: Al Boom Park
🧺 Style: Picnic meetup (weather permitting ☀️🤞)

We’ll gather outdoors to discuss the book, share food, and enjoy the afternoon together. Please bring a small picnic item (savory, dessert, or drinks) to share if you can.

📌 Important RSVP Note:
Attendance is only confirmed through the RSVP form below.
RSVPs on the Meetup app alone will not be counted.
