PURPOSE:
The ACA's vision is to create an event that focuses on sharing knowledge and techniques in managing the nuances of female leadership in outdoor technical environments. Women sometimes face unique challenges when leading groups on canyon trips. It may be difficult as a female Leader to get others to listen and follow critical instructions, or to be forth coming with viable solutions. The ACA's goal is to provide an opportunity for women to learn and practice skills that mitigate a variety of challenging scenarios and group dynamics.

  • This year’s conference will focus specifically on the power of mentorship in building leadership.
  • Clinics will be taught by women that are experts in their fields.
  • Saturday evening will feature a panel of female leaders from the Moab community discussing the complexities of leadership.

PREREQUISITES:
Must have a minimum of 25+ canyon descents and be competent in performing all the skills on the ACA L1 Checklist.

Friday:

  • Check-in 3:00pm-10:00pm
  • Catered Campfire Dinner 6:00pm
  • Canyon & Clinic sign-ups

Saturday:

  • Morning: Clinic sessions
  • Afternoon: Canyons
  • Evening: Female Expert Panel & 6:00PM Campfire Dinner

Sunday:

  • Morning: Group Clinic
  • Mid morning: Canyons

RATE: $150 Includes Sales Tax & Meetup Processing Fees.
Payment is Non-Refundable & Non-Transferable. No Exceptions.
Rate Includes: Access to all workshops and activities, T-Shirt, Swagg Bag, Catered Dinner Friday & Saturday nights, Coffee/tea/juice in the mornings.
Not Included: Accommodations, transportation, gear,
breakfast/lunch/snacks.
T-Shirt: You must be RSVP'd by 9AM, Monday April 27th in order to receive a t-shirt.
