What we're about
Hi, we are Adult Children of Alcoholics / Dysfunctional Families (ACA).
We're a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition program, and we meet to share our experience of growing up in a neglectful and abusive environment. This trauma affects us today, and influences how we deal with all aspects of our lives.
ACA provides a safe, non-judgmental environment that allows us to grieve our childhoods and take an honest look at ourselves and our family. Together, we identify and heal our deep trauma, experience freedom from shame and abandonment, and become our own loving parents.
If you identify with any of the 14 Traits of an Adult Child (also known as The Laundry List) you may find a home in our program. https://aca-sa.org/laundry-list
No RSVP required, simply come along. We look forward to welcoming you.

This text is often referred to as the "Big Red Book", or "BRB". It was written by anonymous ACA members providing guidance on working the 12 Step ACA program leading to recovery from the effects of growing up in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional family. We would be delighted to welcome you along to this meeting.
