Wesley Estes is an Accessibility Engineer – Expert Services at TPGi, has a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, is IAAP CPACC certified, a DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester and an expert with assistive technologies and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). He's presented at the Knowbility AccessU Conference in both 2023 and 2024, has hosted a TPGi webinar and is scheduled to present in-person at the CSUN accessibility conference in 2025.

One of the many things considered for Accessibility is the Accessible Name of various components. Have you heard the term "Accessible Name", or maybe been informed you need to provide (or adjust) an Accessible Name on content you created, but found yourself wondering what exactly is an Accessible Name? Why is the Accessible Name important? How do you know what the Accessible Name of an element is? How do you modify or update an Accessible Name, and what WCAG considerations should you keep in mind when doing so? If any of this sounds familiar or intriguing, you're in luck! Join one of TPGi's Accessibility Engineers, Wes Estes, as we explore what's involved in an Accessible Name!
