Showing Good Form(s) with Cam Beaudoin: HTML Forms and Web Accessibility

Details
Web forms are everything. Simple contact pages use them, and multi-part conditional mortgage applications use them -- all kinds of internet transactions live and breathe using them. Forms drive business forward.
If we know this, then why don’t forms just work for everyone?
Addressing this question will be our presenter, Cam Beaudoin, a Toronto-based digital accessibility professional whose mission is to make technology more usable by people of all abilities. A keynote speaker, digital accessibility strategist, trainer, and coach, Cam helps brands big and small stay on track with their accessibility goals.
This workshop is targeted towards beginner to intermediate developers of all frameworks and platforms (server-side or client-side) and includes some design as well as content and testing best practices (for those developers who wear all the hats).
Meetup-goers will gain a confident understanding of how to approach the building of large or complex forms as well how to validate existing projects to ensure that they are not creating negative experiences for users.
======
We plan to reserve the last 30 minutes of this two-hour meeting for Q&A and, if time permits, live "sandboxing" with some members who want to learn by doing.
======
Who should attend?
Our meetup is inclusive. This event is for people who love WordPress and Accessibility and want to share their knowledge, experience, and to meet other WordPress users in the area. Both experienced and beginner WordPress designers and developers are encouraged to attend and participate.
We do have a few rules.
In line with the mission of WordPress, our meetup was established using 4 of the 5 Good Faith Rules from Make WordPress (see our website: https://wa11ywp.org/meetup-4-good-faith-rules/).
Also please check our Code of Conduct (https://wa11ywp.org/meetup-code-of-conduct/). We’re a friendly bunch, always striving to offer a nurturing, encouraging environment where we can all talk and learn Web Accessibility while expanding our knowledge of WordPress.
NO sales pitches of products or services to the group, please.
We, the organizers/hosts, do not endorse any specific product we may introduce; our only intention is to educate.
ALSO: No legal discussion or advice please, unless you are a practicing civil rights or disability rights attorney and not just someone playing one on YouTube . . .
NOTE: We want to limit this Meetup to 30 participants, so join soon . . . please update your RSVP if you later find that you cannot attend.
We are committed to making this Meetup fully accessible, and live captions will be available through the Closed Captioning setting in the Zoom window. For more details on accessing the Closed Captioning during this meeting, please refer to Zoom’s Closed Captioning tutorial: (https://bit.ly/3CuALx0)
