WHY DID I CREATE THIS GROUP
I’m entrepreneurial, creative, almost 40 years old and I have stepped outside my comfort zone in search of a career change. I've had mentors and accountability partners in the past, and now, as someone new to Lausanne and actively looking for work and stability, I feel the need for community more than ever.
This invitation is something new for me. Usually, people speak up once they've found the results they were looking for, once they have a story, the method, the results. But this group is about something else. This is the messy middle, when you still feel a bit vulnerable.
If you’re also new in town, or changing careers, or looking for a job, burned out by traditional networking, craving structure, encouragement, or connection … then this group might be exactly what you’re looking for.
PRACTICAL INFO AND METHOD
This group is experimental and evolving — but here’s the spirit of it:
Option 1: Identify the companies or places you’d love to work with. Then practice how to reach out, start 1:1 conversations, and follow up with confidence.
Option 2: Build a passion project or portfolio piece — and find ways to find others to help you shape, pitch, or collaborate on it.
