La COAM (Carrera de Orientación y Autosuficiencia en Montaña) no es una carrera “normal”. Es una aventura de 29 horas en montaña donde compites en equipos de 2 y la clave es la orientación + gestión + resistencia.
Aquí no vienes a seguir un track: vienes a tomar decisiones, orientarte con mapa y brújula, gestionar descansos, comida y equipo… y llegar a meta con tu compi.

## Cómo funciona
- Recibirás un mapa de la organización.
- Deberás encontrar y validar checkpoints siguiendo tu propia estrategia.
- La carrera dura 29h: ritmo, cabeza y equipo importan más que ir a fuego desde el minuto 1.

## Muy importante
🚫 GPS PROHIBIDO.
Nada de navegación por reloj/móvil. En COAM la orientación es real: mapa, brújula y decisiones.
🥾 Autosuficiencia: debes llevar todo lo necesario para competir, comer y descansar durante 29h (no es un paseo por el parque).

## Material obligatorio
Para participar tendrás que llevar material obligatorio (se revisa). Incluye, entre otros:
- Ropa impermeable con costuras selladas (chaqueta + pantalón)
- Capa de abrigo + gorro (no buff) + guantes
- Frontal con mínimo 12h de luz utilizable
- Botiquín + bolsa de supervivencia
- Brújula + silbato + mapa (lo damos nosotros)
- Comida para 29h + raciones de emergencia
- Hornillo + combustible (1 por equipo)
- Sistema aislante para dormir + tienda con suelo cosido (por equipo)

How it works
- You will receive a map from the organisers.
- You must find and validate checkpoints following your own strategy.
- The race lasts 29 hours: pace, mindset and teamwork are more important than going full throttle from the first minute.

No navigation by watch/mobile phone. At COAM, orienteering is real: map, compass and decisions.
🥾 Self-sufficiency: you must bring everything you need to compete, eat and rest for 29 hours (this is not a walk in the park).
Required equipment
- To participate, you must bring the required equipment (which will be checked). This includes, among other items:
- Waterproof clothing with sealed seams (jacket + trousers)
- Warm layer + hat (no buff) + gloves
- Headlamp with at least 12 hours of usable light
- First aid kit + survival bag
- Compass + whistle + map (provided by us)
- Food for 29 hours + emergency rations
- Stove + fuel (1 per team)
- Insulated sleeping system + tent with sewn-in groundsheet (per team)
