Weekday Walk: Fort Des Moines Park, Des Moines

A perfect place to enjoy your day, Fort Des Moines Park, 7200 SE 5th Street in Des Moines, is a 135-acre county park that offers an excellent opportunity to get out and reconnect with nature. We will gather at Shelter 1, the first one on your left after you enter the park. The park offers three trails rated as easy in difficulty. We'll take advantage of one of several picnic shelters in the park to enjoy lunch after our walk, so be sure to bring your lunch.
