PDF to Audiobook || General Meeting
·HybridLocation not specified yetPDF to Audiobook: Working with Text-to-Speech Models
A hands-on walk through that starts with a simple 10-line audiobook script and expands from there. Each limitation we hit introduces a real fix, gradually building out a preliminary TTS script into a robust, modern pipeline.
Audience should have basic Python or coding skills, but no AI or Audio experience required. This will be hands on development, starting with a simple script and talking/walking through the expansion of the application. He will start with beginner concepts and gradually introduce intermediate & complex concepts, and walk through it.

Before Identity: Verify the Human || General Meeting
·HybridLocation not specified yetACM San Antonio is a local community for people who care about computing. Learning it, building with it, and connecting with others who do. Our goal is to grow interest in modern computing and create a welcoming space for education, collaboration, and communication across the San Antonio tech community.
AGENDA
- 6:00 PM — Doors open + meet & greet
- 6:30 PM — ACM San Antonio announcements
- 6:35 PM — Featured session
- 7:30 PM — Q&A + networking
(Timing is approximate — we’ll keep things moving and leave room for questions + conversation.)
FEATURED SESSION
Before Identity: Human Verification in an AI-Native WorldZero Trust architectures assume that the entity authenticating into a system is human. In an AI-native world, that assumption no longer holds. Modern AI agents can authenticate, maintain sessions, and operate continuously inside trusted systems. This creates a fundamental gap upstream of identity, access control, and Zero Trust models.
In this talk, we will explore why identity is no longer a sufficient starting point for security and trust, and why systems need a new layer that verifies human presence before access decisions are even made. We will examine real failure modes in current architectures, discuss where human verification fits in the modern stack, and outline design principles for building systems that remain resilient as autonomous agents become first-class actors.
This session is focused on system design, architecture, and tradeoffs rather than tools or demos.
Who This Talk Is For:
This talk is designed for a mixed technical audience.
Attendees will benefit most if they have some familiarity with software systems, AI, or security concepts, but deep security expertise is not required. What Attendees Will Learn:
- Why identity and authentication are no longer reliable indicators of human presence
- How AI agents change the threat and trust model of modern systems
- Where human verification fits relative to identity, Zero Trust, and access control
- Architectural principles for designing AI-resilient systems
