Backbone/Mishi Mokwa Trail to Sandstone Peak

This ride is an intermediate mtb ride with very little technical stuff. Steady single track climbing and fire road. It starts at Encinal Canyon Road at the Backbone Trailhead crossing Mulholland Highway (23) continuing on Backbone and joining Etz Maloy Motorway (fireroad) crossing Yerba Buena Road (paved) to Mishe Mokwa Trail (Backbone Trail) to Yerba Buena Road (again) (paved) at the foot of Sandstone Peak. There we turn around and return. Fun fast swoopy downhill single track to the parking lot on the return. Mileage is 22 miles and gain 2500'. We'll meet in the dirt parking lot on Encinal Canyon Rd at 9 am.
