Sycamore Canyon

Sun Jan 25, 2026 : Sycamore Canyon / Pt. Mugu State Park, A great intermediate ride. One of the most beautiful rides near Los Angeles! We will ride up Sycamore Canyon from the beach. There will be some stream crossings, some single track and fire road. The ride will include climbing /descending either Guadalasca or Backbone, Two Foxes, Sin Nombre and more. 15 miles / 2000' approx. gain. Don't forget to bring snacks and /or lunch.

Directions: From the South Bay: Take 405N, 10W, continue on PCH going North, about 25 to 30 miles, until you get to Pt. Mugu State Park, Sycamore Canyon, on the right hand-side. Option: Take 405N, 101N to Las Posas Road. in Camarillo. At the off-ramp, turn left and stay on Las Posas until you get to PCH. Go south (east) on PCH for approximately five miles to get to Pt. Mugu, Sycamore Canyon will be on the left hand-side. Parking has varied from $3 to $10 in the park, or you can park on the side of the road. We will meet at the pay parking lot (the gate attendant will direct you). The parking lot is close to the road on the north side for those of you parking along the highway.
