Dez Amis at The Old Mine

Dez Amis is a versatile duo made up of Robin Lopate on guitar and Cat Precourt on mandolin. We play a feel-good mix of Americana, upbeat folk, classic rock, and singer-songwriter music from the baby-boomer generation.

Cat and Robin have been playing together for about 3 years. Robin recently moved to Colorado in the summer of 2022 after an extensive 20+ year history of playing guitar and singing in several cover bands in the St. Louis area that covered mainly 1960's-early 2000's soft rock/country and classic rock music. Influences range from Patsy Cline to as recent as Little Big Town. Cat has played in a trio for several years in the Boulder/Lafayette area.

Alongside well-loved covers, we’ve added a selection of classic 1960s protest songs, highlighting how their messages still resonate with today’s social and political climate. Our performances can be tailored to the room, whether as an intimate duo or an expanded trio
