What we’re about
People write poems for many reasons: expression, fun, therapy, street performance... and they don't even have to be good to be worthwhile.
'Across the Way' is a casual gathering of people who enjoy and get something out of poetry that other forms of art/entertainment don't always provide.
You can bring something ... or just listen. :)
This is NOT a critique-based/workshop group. If feedback is wanted, it will be respectfully and fairly provided; but keep in mind it must be kept short (under 10 minutes).
If no one brings anything, your organizer will always have something to read to get started. The structure will be loose, but it's encouraged that you arrive on time and with paper copies to share.
If you don't have paper copies, that's perfectly fine; do remember that reading off a phone screen is usually less personal and interesting.
