LivingSocial’s Increasing Focus on Behavioral Change

Details
Folks -
For the January 15th Action Design Meetup, I'm very excited to announce that we'll have Scott Stroud, Director of User Experience for LivingSocial, and Liz Odar, LivingSocial's Manager of User Research. They will be talking about LivingSocial’s ongoing research and product development around people's daily behavior.
Scott and Liz will also give an overview of LivingSocial’s UX work in understanding how existing common behaviors can be channeled effectively and how new, helpful patterns can be influenced and encouraged.
The format will be presentation / discussion – so please expect to talk, and ask questions.
After Scott and Liz, we’ll also have a short technical presentation from Katya Vasilaky on how to design randomized experiments within your application: how to determine how many users is enough, how to look for causal impacts on behavior, etc. – think of it as A/B testing on steroids.
Food and drink will be provided. The Meetup will start at 6:30 and end by 8:00. Please bring business cards to hand out during the meet and greet from 6:30 to 7. We're still finalizing the location, but we'll announce it shortly.
If your organization is interested in sponsoring this Meetup, just shoot me an email.
See you all soon!
-Steve
