From Prototype to Production: Building Enterprise AI Agents

Move beyond the AI agent demo. Learn to engineer the system behind it.

Building an AI agent that works in a demo is easy. Building one you can trust in production is a very different engineering challenge. What happens when your agent needs to access enterprise systems, choose between multiple AI models, use tools safely, manage context, control costs, handle permissions, recover from failures, and resist malicious instructions?

In this 2-hour session, we'll go beyond basic agent tutorials and explore the architecture and engineering decisions behind production-ready enterprise AI agents.
You'll learn how to:

• Design AI agents using a practical 7-layer enterprise architecture
• Decide when to use an LLM, a lower-cost model, or deterministic code
• Connect agents to tools and enterprise systems while maintaining security boundaries
• Move beyond prompt engineering into context engineering
• Define what an agent should and should not be authorized to do
• Evaluate not only an agent's answer, but how it arrived at that answer
• Identify production risks including prompt injection, excessive permissions, unreliable tool use, and uncontrolled costs

Learn by Designing
You'll participate in a light hands-on architecture exercise where you'll apply the concepts from the session to an enterprise AI-agent scenario. You'll think through models, context, tools, permissions, human oversight, and evaluation without building an entire application during the session.
